Quick answer: our full MDF sheets are 2440 × 1220mm (8 × 4ft), covering about 2.98m² before cutting and waste. Standard MDF is available from 3mm to 25mm; moisture resistant MDF is available from 6mm to 22mm.
What size is a full sheet of MDF?
Wern-Wood stocks MDF in full 2440 × 1220mm sheets, commonly called 8 × 4 MDF sheets. The sheet size stays the same across the range; the thickness changes depending on the job.

Moisture resistant MDF thicknesses
Our MR MDF sheets are available in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm and 22mm. Choose MR MDF for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and other humid interior joinery where increased humidity resistance is useful.
What MDF thickness should I use?
Choose the board around the job rather than thickness alone. A shelf depends on its span, load and support; a cabinet back can use a much thinner board than the cabinet sides; decorative wall panelling does not need the same stiffness as a long unsupported shelf.
