P5 chipboard flooring and flooring-grade boards
Chipboard flooring is widely used to form continuous floor decks in new builds, extensions and refurbishment work. The products in this collection are P5 flooring-grade chipboard with tongue-and-groove edges, giving interlocking joints and improved resistance to moisture compared with standard interior-grade chipboard.
18mm and 22mm chipboard flooring
Our standard P5 chipboard flooring is available in 18mm and 22mm thicknesses in 2440 × 600mm boards. Choose thickness to match the project design, loading, support arrangement and specification rather than treating either thickness as suitable for every floor.
Tongue and groove chipboard flooring
The T&G profile helps adjacent boards interlock to form a continuous deck with controlled board joints. Follow the required fixing, adhesive, expansion and installation instructions for the flooring system being used.
Moisture resistant, not waterproof
P5 chipboard is moisture resistant, making it suitable for flooring applications where occasional humidity or construction moisture may occur. It should not be treated as permanently waterproof or left in standing water simply because it is P5.

For straightforward P5 flooring, choose our 18mm or 22mm standard boards. Where the build calls for enhanced construction-phase moisture protection, compare 22mm EGGER Protect chipboard flooring, supplied in 2400 × 600mm T&G boards.

Our standard P5 T&G flooring is available in 18mm and 22mm. EGGER Protect is currently stocked in 22mm.
What size are the boards?
The standard P5 boards are 2440 × 600mm. The EGGER Protect product is 2400 × 600mm.
Is P5 chipboard flooring waterproof?
No. P5 is moisture resistant, not a permanently waterproof flooring board. Installation and exposure must suit the project specification.
