Sheet materials by project
- Roof decking and shed roofs: start with OSB3 boards, then cover with a suitable weatherproof layer such as felt, membrane or EPDM.
- Floors and loft boarding: compare 18mm OSB3, P5 chipboard flooring and tongue-and-groove boards depending on the structure and loading.
- Furniture, shelving and panelling: use MDF for smooth painted interiors or plywood where face quality, stiffness or exposed edges matter.
- Dry lining and stud walls: choose plasterboard sheets and add the matching screws, adhesive, beads and insulation from our dry-lining ranges.
- Moisture-prone interior areas: compare moisture resistant MDF, marine plywood and moisture resistant plasterboard according to the job.
Sheet sizes, thicknesses and cutting
Many timber sheet materials are full 2440 × 1220mm boards, often called 8 × 4 sheets, with thicknesses depending on the product. MDF, plywood and OSB are available in several thicknesses across the range. Some eligible sheets include a cutting option on the product page; you buy the full sheet and we cut that sheet to your measurements.
