Description
13ft (3.9m) banded scaffold board measuring 38mm thick by 225mm wide. A full-length timber board with metal bands at both ends to help prevent end splitting. Designed for scaffold decking, and also popular for rustic shelving, worktops, benches and garden projects.
What is a banded scaffold board?
A scaffold board is a wide, thick timber plank traditionally used to form working platforms on scaffolding. The metal end bands help protect the ends from splitting during handling and use. This is the full 13ft (3.9m) length, useful where longer uninterrupted runs are needed.
Common uses
- Scaffold working platforms when the board is appropriately graded, inspected and installed by competent persons.
- Rustic shelves, workbenches and storage.
- Garden furniture, raised-bed surrounds and other timber projects.
Before ordering
For working at height, verify the BS 2482 grading and identification markings on the boards supplied, and follow applicable scaffold design, support-span and inspection requirements. Do not assume a board is suitable for scaffold use simply because it has metal end bands. For permanent outdoor projects, check whether additional timber protection is required.
