VISTA bays are calculated at a nominal 1.825m. The final bay may need cutting to suit the exact run. Board packs are rounded across the complete fence rather than separately for every bay.

How does the DuraPost VISTA calculator work?
The calculator treats the fence as one complete run, so shared posts and board packs are calculated across the whole project rather than multiplying a single-bay shopping list.
Shared intermediate posts
Adjoining bays share a Classic post. The calculator adds internal posts once and separately works out the correct start and finish connections.
Connection-led ordering
Freestanding ends, walls, corners and gates do not use the same components. Your start and finish selections determine the posts, infills and U-channels added.

How many VISTA boards make a 6ft fence bay?
An approximately 1.8m / 6ft VISTA bay uses 12 boards. Because the boards are supplied in packs of four, that is three packs for one full-height bay.
Does every DuraPost bay need two posts?
No. Adjoining bays share their intermediate Classic posts, so the calculator works across the complete run instead of adding two posts for every bay.
Can the calculator handle a wall, corner or garden gate?
Yes. Choose how the fence starts and finishes and the calculator will add the matching connection components used by the current stocked VISTA setup. Complex layouts, multiple corners, changes in level and unusual gates should still be checked before ordering.
