DuraPost HORIZON Screen is a premium all-aluminium fencing system for contemporary gardens and architectural landscape schemes where privacy, light and clean horizontal lines all matter. The Screen version uses spaced aluminium slats rather than a completely solid face, creating a lighter, more open boundary than the HORIZON Privacy panel.

Who is HORIZON Screen for?

It suits homeowners, garden designers, landscape architects and installers looking for a high-end alternative to timber slatted fencing. It is particularly effective around modern homes, terraces and designed garden spaces where the fence needs to feel like part of the architecture rather than a conventional boundary panel.

What is this product?

Each pack forms an approximately 1820mm-wide × 600mm-high Screen section from horizontal aluminium boards. The slats are separated by dedicated HORIZON spacers to create the open-screen appearance.

This is a modular section, not a complete 1.8m-high fence panel. To build approximately 1.8m of finished panel height, three 600mm HORIZON sections are normally stacked within the same bay.

Screen or Privacy?

Choose Screen where you want visual screening without completely closing the boundary. The gaps between the horizontal slats allow more light and air through and give the fence a lighter architectural appearance.

Choose HORIZON Privacy where the priority is a more closed, solid boundary. Screen and Privacy sections can also be combined within the same bay to create a bespoke layout.

What do I need for a complete HORIZON bay?

• HORIZON Screen and/or Privacy sections to build the required finished height
• 1 × HORIZON aluminium infill profile set for a standard bay
• HORIZON spacers where Screen sections are being used
• DuraPost Classic posts or another compatible fixing surface for the complete layout
• the specified HORIZON fixings for the chosen components

How does the system go together?

1. Install and accurately align the DuraPost Classic posts.
2. Fit the left and right HORIZON infill profiles into the post arrangement.
3. Build the Screen section from the aluminium slats, using HORIZON spacers to maintain the designed gaps.
4. Stack additional 600mm Screen or Privacy sections until the required height is reached.
5. Fit the top HORIZON profile to close and finish the bay.

Can HORIZON be fixed somewhere other than Classic posts?

Yes. Birkdale states that the HORIZON infill profile can also be face-fixed to a suitable wall or other post arrangement. The substrate and fixings must be appropriate for the finished fence load and exposure.

Plan the complete elevation first

Before ordering, decide the finished height and whether each 600mm section will be Screen, Privacy or a combination. Then calculate the posts, one infill set per bay, Screen spacers and the required fixings. This is particularly important where several bays need to line through at the same height.
