Description
This is the DuraPost square Corner Post used when the fence changes direction or changes application. For a normal straight fence run — including a normal end — use DuraPost Classic posts. At the end of the run, finish the exposed Classic post with the Classic Post End Infill.
Use this 75 × 75mm Corner Post with the correct DuraPost U-Channel where the fencing needs to turn a corner or connect into a different application.
When do I need the DuraPost Corner Post?
- Where the fence changes direction
- Where the fencing changes into a different application or connection
- At corners that need U-Channels to hold the fencing on each side
- On the fence side of selected gate layouts where the fencing needs to connect into the gate arrangement
Do I need this at the end of a normal fence?
No. For a normal straight fence that simply finishes, continue with the same DuraPost Classic post used through the run and fit a Classic Post End Infill to cover the exposed channel.
Is this the DuraPost Gate Post?
No. This Corner Post can form part of the fence connection beside a gate, but Wern-Wood does not sell it as the default post for hanging the gate itself. Birkdale now has a separate heavy-duty DuraPost Gate Post for gate support.

What else will I need?
The Corner Post is normally used with one or more DuraPost U-Channels. The U-Channel provides the channel that the fence panel, rails or VISTA system connects into.
