Description

The DuraPost Classic Bolt Down Cover Plate hides the exposed galvanised base plate of the Classic Bolt Down support. It is a finishing accessory for installations where the post base remains visible on a patio, concrete slab or other hard surface.

When do I need it?

Use it after installing a DuraPost Classic Bolt Down Support where the base plate and anchors would otherwise remain visible in the finished garden.

What does it do?

  • conceals the structural bolt-down base
  • creates a cleaner transition between the post and finished surface
  • allows the visible base detail to coordinate with the post colour

Is it structural?

No. The bolt-down support and anchors carry the fence loads. The cover plate is installed afterwards purely to finish the visible base.

Why add the cover plate?

The bolt-down is structural hardware; the cover plate makes it disappear into the finished fence. On a patio or landscaped hard surface, that small detail stops the base plate looking like an exposed engineering afterthought.
