Description
These are the modular infill panels used inside the DuraPost Aluminium Pedestrian Gate Frame. They create the visible face of the gate and are cut to suit the finished frame width.
Who needs these panels?
Anyone building the DuraPost aluminium pedestrian gate needs an infill choice to complete the open frame. These panels are designed for the dedicated DuraPost gate rather than as standalone fence boards.
What is supplied?
Birkdale supplies 10 infill boards in the pack. The boards are 1000mm long before cutting and are available in coordinated DuraPost finishes.
How do they fit?
The boards are cut to the same internal width as the gate's horizontal rails and then stacked inside the assembled aluminium frame. Birkdale's gate instructions calculate the horizontal rail length from the finished gate opening, so establish the opening first and cut the rails and infill consistently.
What else do I need for a complete gate?
- DuraPost Aluminium Gate Frame
- gate infill panels — this product
- DuraPost Aluminium Gate Hardware Kit
- suitable gate posts
- U-Channels where the adjoining fence needs to connect to the gate posts
Can the gate be made narrower?
Yes. The frame and infill are designed to be cut to suit the finished opening. Measure between the installed gate posts and follow the manufacturer cutting dimensions rather than assuming the supplied 1000mm board length is the finished gate width.
Installation manual
Use the official DuraPost Aluminium Gate instructions for cutting and assembly.
Why use the dedicated gate infill?
The modular panels let the gate match or deliberately contrast with the surrounding DuraPost scheme while keeping the proportions and finish controlled inside the aluminium frame.
