Description
Quick answer: Machined round fence posts are UC4 pressure treated, pointed agricultural posts for stock fencing, paddocks, wire fencing and rural boundary work. The machined round profile gives a cleaner, more consistent diameter than rustic peeled stakes.
Best used for
- Intermediate stock fencing posts
- Post-and-wire fencing
- Livestock enclosures and paddocks
- Field and rural boundaries
Available sizes
| Size | Typical use |
|---|---|
| 3 Inch (75mm) x 1.65m | General intermediate posts for lighter agricultural wire fencing runs. |
| 4 Inch (100mm) x 1.8m | Stronger intermediate posts where a larger diameter or longer post is preferred. |
Installation notes
These posts are pointed for driving. Use suitable post-driving equipment and avoid damaging or splitting the top of the post during installation. For ends, corners, gateways and high-tension points, use larger strainer posts with suitable bracing.
Things to check before ordering
- Post spacing: Spacing depends on livestock, terrain, wire type and exposure.
- Strainer positions: Do not rely on standard line posts for main tension points.
- Ground contact: These posts are UC4 treated for ground contact use.
- Handling: Plan safe lifting, driving and site access before starting the run.
