Description
Sound Shield Pro uses heavy pressure-treated Scandinavian redwood boards to build a solid reflective acoustic fence. The boards are part of Birkdale's acoustic-fencing system and are designed to work with the specified DuraPost post, seal, capping and bracing arrangement.
Choose the board from the acoustic specification
This special-order range includes different board profiles used across Sound Shield Pro specifications. Do not substitute one thickness for another purely on price: acoustic performance depends on the complete tested construction.
Birkdale's current 45mm tongue-and-groove system is tested for sound reduction of up to 28dB when installed as the complete specified system. The performance claim applies to the complete construction, not an individual timber board.
Installation
Build the fence from the project specification, keeping the boards tight and using the specified rubber seals, packers, bracing and capping details so unnecessary sound gaps are not introduced.
