Description

135gsm breathable roofing membrane for use as a pitched-roof underlay beneath tiles and slates. Choose a 1m or 1.5m wide × 50m roll to suit the roof and handling preference.

What it does

  • Provides a secondary weather-resistant layer beneath the roof covering
  • Allows water vapour to pass through the underlay
  • Suitable for tiled and slated pitched-roof build-ups where this type of underlay is specified

Choose the roll width

  • 1m × 50m – easier to handle on smaller roofs and tighter working areas
  • 1.5m × 50m – covers more width per run and can reduce the number of horizontal laps

Breathable does not mean ventilation can always be omitted

The ventilation requirement depends on the whole roof build-up, the type of underlay, supporting deck or sarking and the roof covering. Follow the project design and current roofing guidance rather than treating every breathable membrane as a universal replacement for ventilation.
