Description

Roughneck fence post hole diggers for digging deep, narrow holes for timber fence posts, concrete fence posts and gate posts with less unnecessary excavation than a standard spade.

Choose the post hole digger style

  • Traditional Pattern – 1.5m — conventional scissor-action post hole digger for removing loosened soil from narrow post holes.
  • Dual-Pivot – 1.5m — the jaws close as the handles are pushed together, helping the tool work in a narrower opening at greater depth.

Built for fence and gate post holes

Both versions use long handles and hardened steel digging blades for fencing and landscaping work. Keeping the hole controlled around the post helps avoid excavating more ground—and using more setting material—than the job requires.

Planning the complete installation? Browse Fence Posts and add Postmix for conventional ground-set posts. For rammers, augers and post levels, see Fencing Tools.
