Description

6.7mm hex drive structural timber screws for garden sleepers and heavy timber connections. Shorter lengths work well with sleeper brackets and smaller connections, while longer lengths can be used to screw substantial timber sections together directly.

These are structurally rated screws designed for strong timber-to-timber connections, making them well suited to resisting the natural movement of large-section timber such as garden sleepers.

Which length should you choose?

  • 65mm and 100mm: Shorter fixing depths, brackets and smaller timber connections where the joint allows.
  • 150mm and 200mm: Deeper timber-to-timber connections, including direct sleeper fixing where the joint and fixing direction suit the length.

Choose the screw around the full joint rather than length alone. Make sure the fixing gets useful embedment into the second timber without breaking through a visible face.

Common uses

  • Garden sleepers and landscaping timber
  • Decking subframes and bearers
  • Fencing frames and substantial rails
  • Pergolas and garden structures
  • Heavy timber-to-timber connections
