Description
DuraPost HORIZON Privacy is a premium all-aluminium fencing system designed for contemporary gardens and architectural landscapes where a clean, solid boundary is required. The horizontal aluminium construction gives the finished fence a sharper, more precise appearance than traditional timber fencing while keeping maintenance low.
Who is HORIZON Privacy for?
It is suited to homeowners investing in a modern garden, garden designers and landscape architects specifying a refined boundary treatment, and installers working on higher-end residential schemes where privacy and finish are both important.
What is this product?
Each pack forms an approximately 1820mm-wide × 600mm-high Privacy section. It is a modular part of the HORIZON system rather than a complete 1.8m-high panel.
For an approximately 1.8m-high bay, three 600mm HORIZON sections are normally stacked between the posts.
Privacy or Screen?
Choose Privacy when the aim is a more closed boundary with minimal sightlines through the panel. Choose HORIZON Screen where more light and airflow are preferred. The two styles can be combined within one bay to create a bespoke elevation.
What do I need for a complete HORIZON bay?
- HORIZON Privacy and/or Screen sections to reach the required height
- 1 × HORIZON aluminium infill profile set
- DuraPost Classic posts or another suitable HORIZON fixing arrangement
- the specified HORIZON fixings
- HORIZON spacers only where Screen sections are incorporated
How does it go together?
- Set out and install the supporting posts.
- Fit the side HORIZON infill profiles.
- Insert the first 600mm Privacy section.
- Stack the additional HORIZON sections required for the chosen height and design.
- Fit the top profile to finish the bay.
Can the design mix Screen and Privacy?
Yes. The modular 600mm format allows Privacy and Screen sections to be combined. For example, a solid lower section can be paired with a Screen section higher up where more light is desirable.
Where can HORIZON be installed?
The system is designed around DuraPost Classic posts, while Birkdale also allows the HORIZON infill profile to be face-fixed to a suitable wall or other post arrangement. Any alternative substrate must be capable of supporting the completed fence.
Why specify HORIZON?
- All-aluminium visible fencing system
- Contemporary horizontal architecture
- Low routine maintenance
- Modular Screen and Privacy design options
- Coordinated posts, profiles, fixings and gate components available
Design the complete run before ordering
Choose the height and Screen/Privacy arrangement for every bay first, then calculate the shared posts, one infill-profile set per bay and the necessary fixings. This keeps the horizontal lines consistent across the whole boundary.
