Description
Creosote treated round agricultural fence posts provide a traditional and heavy-duty solution for rural fencing installations. Treated with creosote for enhanced resistance to rot, moisture, insects and harsh weather conditions, these posts are widely used in long-term agricultural and boundary fencing systems.
Supplied in a range of round diameter options, creosote posts are suitable for both intermediate line positions and heavier structural applications within stock fencing layouts.
Available Sizes
- 50–75mm × 1.65m (2–3 Inch × 5.5ft)
- 75–100mm × 2.4m (3–4 Inch × 8ft)
- 125–150mm × 2.1m (5–6 Inch × 7ft)
Smaller diameter posts are typically installed as intermediate supports within wire and stock fencing systems, commonly spaced at 1.8m–2.5m centres depending on terrain and livestock type.
Larger diameter options are suitable for end, corner and gateway positions where increased strength is required to resist fence tension.
Typical Applications
- Agricultural and stock fencing
- Wire and stock netting systems
- Field and paddock boundaries
- Rural land division and perimeter fencing
- Traditional post-and-wire fencing installations
What Is a Strainer Post?
A strainer post is installed at fence ends, corners, gateways and direction changes. These positions take the tension of wire or netting and require larger diameter posts for stability.
For a dedicated range focused specifically on high-tension structural positions, see our Creosote Agricultural Strainer Posts.
