Description

Treated round agricultural fence posts are a heavy-duty, long-life solution for stock fencing, field boundaries and rural installations. Pressure treated to UC4 standard for ground contact, these posts are designed to resist rot, moisture, insect attack and harsh weather conditions.

Built for real agricultural use, not decorative fencing, these posts are made to hold tension, last in the ground, and perform in demanding environments.

Built for Real Jobs

  • Ideal for post and wire fencing systems
  • Suitable for stock netting, paddocks and land boundaries
  • Designed for driven or dug-in installation
  • Performs in wet ground and exposed sites

Available Sizes

  • 50–75mm × 1.65m (2–3 Inch × 5.5ft)
  • 75–100mm × 2.4m (3–4 Inch × 8ft)

Smaller diameter posts are typically used as intermediate supports within wire and stock fencing systems, commonly spaced at 1.8m–2.5m centres depending on terrain and livestock type.

Larger diameter posts are better suited to end, corner and gateway positions where increased strength is needed to resist fence tension.

Typical Applications

  • Agricultural and stock fencing
  • Wire and stock netting systems
  • Field and paddock boundaries
  • Rural land division and perimeter fencing
  • Traditional post-and-wire fencing installations

What Is a Strainer Post?

A strainer post is installed at fence ends, corners, gateways and direction changes. These are the key load-bearing positions in a fence line, taking the tension of wire or netting and helping keep the whole run stable.

For these high-stress points, larger diameter posts are recommended to provide the strength needed for long-term performance.

Build It Right First Time

  • Use larger diameter posts where fence tension is highest
  • Keep spacing consistent to reduce sagging and movement
  • Set key posts with Postmix / Rapid Set Concrete where required
  • Install to the correct depth for your ground conditions

Why Choose Treated Round Agricultural Fence Posts?

Most fencing failures start with weak support posts. These treated agricultural posts are built for strength, longevity and real working conditions, giving you a fencing solution that holds tension, stands up to the weather and requires less maintenance over time.
