Description

Sherardised annular ring nails for exterior timber and fencing work. The ringed shank gives greater resistance to withdrawal than a smooth nail, while the sherardised finish provides corrosion protection for outdoor timber applications.

Which size do I need?

40mm × 2.65mm – the shorter option for thinner timber components and fencing work where a 65mm nail would be unnecessarily long. Available in 500g, 1kg and 2.5kg packs.

65mm × 3.35mm – a longer, heavier nail for deeper fixing into timber, including fencing and other exterior timber work. Supplied in a 2.5kg pack.

What does annular ring mean?

An annular ring nail has raised rings around the shank which bite into the timber and resist the nail being pulled back out. This gives more holding power than a comparable smooth-shank nail.

What does sherardised mean?

Sherardising is a zinc-based corrosion-resistant finish used on steel fixings. It makes these nails suitable for exterior timber applications where a bright untreated nail would not be appropriate.

Common uses

Important

These are loose nails for hand nailing, not collated gun nails. Choose the nail length to suit the thickness of the timber being fixed and the depth of purchase required in the timber behind it.
