Description
Creosote treated round agricultural gate posts provide a heavy-duty and traditional solution for field gates, stock gates and rural entrances. Treated with creosote for enhanced resistance to rot, moisture, insects and harsh weather conditions, these posts are designed for long-term ground contact use in demanding agricultural environments.
Supplied in larger diameter sections, these round gate posts offer the strength required to support hinge-mounted timber and metal gates, helping resist movement, twisting and ground instability over time.

Larger diameter posts are recommended for agricultural gateways where gates are subject to frequent use, livestock pressure or high wind exposure.

Installation Guidance
Gate posts should be installed to an adequate depth, typically allowing 600mm or more below ground level depending on gate weight and soil conditions. Concrete backfilling is recommended to maximise stability and reduce long-term movement.
